Located only an hour and a half from Austin or San Antonio, Castell Cabins offers a one-of-a-kind backdrop for an unforgettable wedding weekend. With several indoor and outdoor venues for rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, receptions, and late-night celebrations (as long as you want, wink wink), couples can create a dream wedding experience that feels intentional, personal, and entirely of their own making.

Nestled in one of the most special small towns in the Texas Hill Country, our cabins offer a truly unique, nature-centered way to celebrate.

Unspoiled by modern development, Castell feels like a hidden gem. Set along the banks of the spring-fed Llano River, the town was founded by free thinkers in 1847, and their spirit lives on through a tiny eccentric community. With a population of just 7, Castell provides an open but private escape. We often think of the 1985 movie Fandango as a reference, not to mention some of Kevin Costner’s best work.

Guests are allowed to stay on-site, wander the grounds, relax by the Llano River, or explore the surrounding landscape to create a seamless, immersive celebration that extends well beyond just that single special day, becoming a shared experience for everyone you love.

Property Details & Highlights:

Castell Cabins

  • On-site accommodations of the entire Castell Cabins compound which sleeps up to 26 guests.

  • Option to host the wedding on the grounds down by the Llano River (outdoor space unlimited).

  • Option to use our Hill Country Gallery venue for receptions or seated dinners (~1,875 sq. ft.) possible to accommodate 250-300 guests indoors.

  • Option to utilize the Historic Post Office venue located on the property for events and gatherings (2,000 sq. ft.).

  • AV equipment available on site (please inquire with us).

  • All parking on-site is complimentary for guests and vendors.

  • Firepits for outside gatherings.

Additional Options:

  • Option to host your ceremony in a beautifully preserved 190-year-old Lutheran church just steps from the property with his and her suites / reception area next to the church.

  • Catering options available through the Castell General Store or selected nearby favorites in the towns of Llano, Mason or Fredericksburg.

  • Assistance with additional guest lodging and additional lodging options for up to 90 guests within a 5-mile radius.

  • Flexibility to bring your own vendor—we can help provide through the Castell General Store.

Our Event Venue Space

Our gallery space is multipurpose and allows for two separate spaces in an L-shape connected by a bathroom in the middle only feet from the banks of the Llano River and adjacent to our properties El Castell, El Castellito and the Castell Post Office.
